Vantor is seeking a Data Scientist to lead the development of statistical and machine learning models for the FALCON initiative. This remote-friendly role can be performed anywhere in the continental United States, collaborating with engineers, analysts, and stakeholders to turn data into actionable insight.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years applying ML to time-series or geospatial data, strong Python skills, and a track record in ETL, visualization, and analytic reporting for mission-critical

Qualifications

• US citizen required.
• Active Top Secret/CBP/DHS suitability clearance required.
• Strong Python proficiency and data libraries (pandas, numpy, scikit-learn).
• Experience with time series and geospatial data processing and analysis.
• 3+ years applying ML to time series/geospatial data.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience with database/data file systems (PostgreSQL, HDFS).
• Experience with version control (Git).
• Ability to work in an Agile/Scrum or Kanban environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of statistical and ML models for mission-focused software.
• Create training and testing datasets from multiple sources.
• Build data pipelines and ETL workflows for data processing.
• Perform data cleansing and validation to ensure accuracy.
• Develop data visualizations and analytic reports for stakeholders.
• Collaborate with engineers, analysts, and customers to deploy analytics.
• Evaluate model performance and iterate on algorithms.
• Document data science processes and approaches.
