Job summary

Orbital Engineering, Inc. is seeking a Joint Use Designer for a REMOTE WORK role based in the United States. The position supports pole attachment design projects and make-ready work within our Utility Services Department.

Responsibilities include creating plan and profile drawings, preparing make-ready designs, and providing field support during construction. Experience with DDS/Katapult is highly preferred, and travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Must understand engineering drawings/schematics.
• Experience reading electrical distribution assets and communication equipment construction.

Responsibilities

• Prepare construction documents for overhead and underground facilities.
• Prepare make-ready work for joint use projects.
• Assist in cost estimates and execution schedules.
• Provide field support during construction.
• Quality reviews following QA/QC processes.
• Apply NESC and other guidelines to designs.
• Analyze field data and update software for design implementation.
• Regularly use client software in the design workflow.
• Communicate project status with management and clients.
• Travel as needed for site visits and meetings.
