Job summary

Sigma Technologies, Ltd. is actively seeking experienced Make Ready Designers to support overhead pole design and joint-use projects for major electric and telecom utilities. You will evaluate pole conditions, apply NESC clearance rules, and create construction-ready designs with various modifications.

Qualifications

• Experience in make-ready engineering, joint-use design, or electric power distribution design.
• Proficiency with CAD or MicroStation and utility design platforms is required.
• Knowledge of NESC applications and pole loading concepts is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Complete make-ready and overhead pole design work orders to quality and schedule targets.
• Review field data, pole information, attachment details, and existing conditions.
• Evaluate joint-use attachments, clearances, loads, and required modifications.
• Develop construction-ready designs including pole changes and attachments.
• Apply NESC requirements and client design criteria to projects.
• Collaborate across teams to resolve conflicts and ensure constructability.
