Job summary

Rise Hire seeks an IT Support / Systems Administrator to keep critical systems running and users productive. The role is based in Miami and open to remote candidates, with Eastern Time hours.

You will support hardware, software, and network issues, manage Active Directory and Microsoft 365, maintain Windows Server environments, and implement security practices while documenting procedures for knowledge sharing.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of IT support, help desk, or systems administration.
• Hands-on experience with Active Directory, Microsoft 365, and Windows Server.
• Solid grasp of networking fundamentals.
• Experience with a ticketing system such as ServiceNow or Jira Service Management.
• Clear communication and patience with non-technical users.
• Nice to have: CompTIA A+, Network+, or Security+; Microsoft certifications; government or public-sector experience; PowerShell scripting.

Responsibilities

• Provide Tier 1–2 IT support for hardware, software, and network issues.
• Administer Active Directory and Microsoft 365 / Entra ID user accounts and policies.
• Maintain Windows Server environments, including patching, backups, and monitoring.
• Troubleshoot LAN/WAN, VPN, DNS, and DHCP issues.
• Set up, image, and manage laptops, desktops, and mobile devices.
• Help enforce security best practices: MFA, endpoint protection, and access reviews.
• Document procedures and keep the knowledge base current.
• Work with vendors and internal teams on upgrades and new technology rollouts.
