Job summary

Blackpoint Cyber is seeking an IT Systems Administrator to be the hands-on operator of its day-to-day IT environment. You will support 230+ team members across macOS and Windows, run onboarding/offboarding, administer our SaaS stack, and keep devices, licenses, and assets accurate and secure.

This is an individual-contributor role guided by the IT Operations Lead. You will manage Microsoft 365, Slack, Google Workspace, Zoom, and security tooling, while automating routine tasks with PowerShell,

Qualifications

• 3–5 years in IT support, systems administration, or IT operations with Tier 2 experience.
• Hands-on experience supporting macOS and Windows environments.
• Practical administration of Microsoft 365 and some of Slack/Google Workspace/Zoom.
• Experience with Entra ID, SSO, and admin-level MFA.
• Hands-on experience with MDM/RMM tools (Intune, Jamf, Datto RMM).
• Scripting ability in PowerShell, Bash, or Python.
• Familiarity with Jira Service Management and ITIL fundamentals.
• Clear, service-oriented communicator with accountability.

Responsibilities

• Run day-to-day IT operations; manage Jira queues and SLAs; resolve Tier1–2 issues.
• Administer SaaS platforms: Microsoft 365, Slack, Google Workspace, Zoom, and access.
• Handle account lockouts, MFA, VPN, Teams, and file recovery with runbooks.
• Perform identity tasks: Entra groups, MFA resets, and Entra/Sso administration.
• Manage licenses and access requests; allocate AI tool seats per policy.
• Operate endpoint fleet with Intune, Jamf, and Datto RMM; patch and deploy.
• Own onboarding/offboarding: device collection, access removal, license reclamation.
• Monitor automations; fix routine failures and escalate as needed.
• Maintain hardware/software inventory; coordinate shipping/returns for distributed workforce.
• Produce inventory/compliance reports for SOC 2/CMMC/audit needs; support renewals.
• Automate tasks with PowerShell/Bash/Python; contribute to runbooks and knowledge base.
• Document processes; create knowledge base articles and guides for self-serve.
• Support lab and VDI setups for Engineering; assist with vendor renewals.
