Job summary

Blackpoint Cyber is seeking an IT Operations Lead to drive IT execution and act as the in-house Microsoft expert. You will own Entra ID architecture, privilege access, and platform standards (Intune, Jamf, and SaaS integrations).

This hands-on, player-coach role leads a small team and supports a distributed workforce of about 230 team members. You will mentor IT staff, translate CSTO strategy into projects, and serve as the escalation point for identity, endpoints, and SaaS incidents while

Qualifications

• Candidates should demonstrate 7–10+ years in systems/IT infrastructure.
• Experience with identity, access management, and security controls.
• Hands-on technical delivery with leadership experience in a fast-growing, remote environment.

Responsibilities

• Translate strategy into projects and tasks; plan weekly; track status; report risks.
• Set daily priorities for IT staff; review changes; document architecture and standards.
• Serve as final escalation point for identity, endpoints, and SaaS incidents; drive permanent fixes.
• Own Entra ID architecture and privileged access; design Conditional Access and MFA strategies.
• Govern the identity lifecycle; manage onboarding/offboarding flows and joiner/m mover/leaver processes.
• Own SSO and app integration; manage app registrations, SAML/OIDC federation, SCIM provisioning.
• Own device identity; ensure Entra join/registration and Intune compliance.
• Govern external/third-party access (B2B, contractors, vendors).
• Create the standard-access catalog; maintain access role matrix and approval matrix.
• Own technical controls for CMMC Level 2; support SOC 2 policy governance.
• Remediate security findings; review policies for technical accuracy.
