Job summary

Zones IT Solutions is seeking an experienced IT Systems Administrator & Workplace Migration Specialist to lead a large-scale migration from Microsoft 365 to Google Workspace. The role focuses on auditing current tenants, designing a robust new Google Workspace, and executing a carefully phased cutover with minimal downtime.

You will manage data pipelines, DNS and IAM configurations, and post-migration support while ensuring zero data loss across emails, calendars, and cloud storage.

Qualifications

• 4–5 years in cloud system administration with migration experience.
• Experience designing tenant architectures for Google Workspace and Microsoft 365.
• Ability to manage mail routing, DNS, SPF/DKIM/DMARC, and MFA configurations.
• Strong communication skills for training non-technical users and managing projects.

Responsibilities

• Audit Microsoft 365 environment, map users, mailboxes, aliases, and permissions.
• Design new Google Workspace tenant with OU structure, Shared Drives, and security policies.
• Plan and execute a phased migration roadmap with pilot group.
• Configure and run migration pipelines using Google tools or third-party utilities.
• Manage user and folder mappings, permissions, and data transfer to Google Drive/ Workspace.
• Troubleshoot edge cases and adjust EWS throttling for throughput.
• Coordinate DNS changes for seamless mail routing and zero bounce messages.
• Provide post-migration support and decommission legacy licenses.
• Act as Tier 3 escalation for migration issues and data sync discrepancies.
