Specialty1 Partners in the United States is seeking an IT Support Engineer to help build, maintain, and troubleshoot our expanding infrastructure. You will join a team delivering mission-critical systems with a focus on security and performance.

The role requires UNCX/Linux expertise, monitoring experience, and the ability to travel within Southern California. Base pay ranges from $75,000 to $85,000 USD per year, with remote modality.

Qualifications

• BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject.
• Proven working experience in installing, configuring and troubleshooting UNIX/Linux based environments.
• Experience with monitoring systems.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the Southern California region including frequent travel to assigned locations.
• Manage and monitor all installed systems and infrastructure.
• Install, configure, test and maintain operating systems, application software and system management tools.
• Proactively ensure the highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability.
• Monitor and test application performance for bottlenecks and work with developers to fix them.
• Maintain security, backup and redundancy strategies.
• Write and maintain scripts to increase efficiency and reduce manual tasks.
• Participate in the design of information and operational support systems.
• Provide 2nd and 3rd level support.
• Liaise with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution.
