Job summary

Michigan State University’s ANR IT team is seeking a motivated IT Support Technician to assist faculty and staff with hands-on and remote technology services. You will triage requests, guide teammates, and ensure reliable endpoint and account access management within a dynamic campus environment.

Working alongside MSU IT colleagues, you’ll design and deploy technology assets, maintain lifecycle processes, and participate in projects that advance MSU’s education and research mission.

Qualifications

• Customer service and effective communication with technical and non-technical audiences.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
• Experience supporting Windows, macOS, iOS/iPadOS, and Android devices in an enterprise environment.
• Experience with endpoint and device management solutions (Intune, Jamf, MECM/SCCM).
• Experience with IT service management systems (TeamDynamix, ServiceNow).
• Knowledge of Active Directory, Group Policy, identity and access management.
• Networking knowledge: VPNs, firewalls, routing, switching.
• Experience supporting virtual desktops and remote computing.
• Experience evaluating and implementing technology solutions.
• Experience participating in technical projects and coordinating.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities independently and collaboratively.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with university stakeholders to design purchase, configure, and distribute technology assets.
• Manage assets throughout their lifecycle.
• Deliver high-quality workstation and software support.
• Administer employee accounts for access management.
