Job summary

SYSCOM, Inc. is seeking an IT Program / Senior Project Manager to lead a large, multi-team initiative for the Department of Corrections. The role covers data management, system integration, and a move to a COTS Offender Management solution, with remote work and CST hours.

The ideal candidate has 7+ years managing complex IT programs, experience with Agile/Waterfall, and strong vendor governance. PM certification and cross-functional leadership are highly preferred.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience managing large, complex IT projects.
• Experience managing projects through procurement/RFP and COTS implementations.
• Experience with Agile, Waterfall, and hybrid methodologies.
• Experience with vendor management and cross-functional teams.
• Bachelor’s degree in IT/CS/Business or related field.
• Proficiency with MS Project, Azure DevOps, Jira, and Confluence.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end project management for DOC IT projects to meet goals, scope and budget.
• Define scope, goals, deliverables, and timelines with vendors and stakeholders.
• Develop and maintain detailed project plans and RAID logs.
• Ensure resources and timelines are aligned; manage risks and issues.
• Provide regular updates to leadership and document progress using MS Office tools.
