Job summary

Piper Companies is seeking an IT Specialist for a remote 3-month contract to partner with customers during implementation, activation, and platform adoption while serving as a technical resource throughout onboarding.

The role focuses on leading onboarding, configuring integrations, and supporting VM-based collectors and telemetry solutions, with emphasis on strong customer communication and cybersecurity awareness.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in networking, technical support, implementation, onboarding, customer success, or a related technology-focused role.
• Working knowledge of networking fundamentals including TCP/IP, subnetting, DNS, firewall policies, SSH, SNMP, and virtual machine deployment.
• Understanding of cybersecurity concepts such as CVEs, CVSS scoring, software hardening practices, and end-of-support/end-of-life device considerations.
• Experience communicating technical concepts to customers and conducting demos, training sessions, or implementation meetings.
• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Network Engineering, or equivalent professional experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead customer onboarding and activation sessions, partnering with customer IT teams to deploy and configure platform integrations.
• Assist with implementation of virtual machine-based collectors, connectors, and telemetry solutions within customer network environments.
• Guide customers through technical requirements involving IP addressing, DNS, firewall rules, access credentials, and network connectivity.
• Support cloud-to-cloud API integrations, contract onboarding, platform migrations, and adoption initiatives while ensuring a positive customer experience.
• Troubleshoot onboarding challenges, coordinate issue resolution, and collaborate with internal teams when escalation is required.
