Job summary

United Church Homes seeks an IT Technician to maintain IT assets across long-term care, affordable housing, and community settings. You will support end-users with hardware, software, and training, install operating systems and antivirus, and keep inventory up to date.

You’ll collaborate with contractors and participate in weekly on-call shifts to ensure smooth operations. The role requires an associate degree or equivalent experience, 2+ years in IT, and knowledge of Workday or PointClickCare

Qualifications

• Associate degree (two-year college or technical school) or equivalent experience required.
• Two (2) or more years of related experience expected.
• Mandatory, state, federal IT certifications or continuing education recommended.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support to end-users, including hardware setup, software installation, and troubleshooting.
• Provide hardware and cabling support for network equipment.
• Perform preventative maintenance on equipment and software.
• Maintain computer/network inventory and assist contracted service personnel as needed.
• Participate in on-call phone line weekly rotation with other IT technicians.
• Consult with IT Services regarding budget requirements for purchase of equipment and software.
