Placements24 is seeking a skilled Virtual Helpdesk Analyst for our fully remote team. You will be the first contact for IT support, resolving issues across Windows and macOS, managing user access, and documenting solutions for a growing knowledge base.

The role emphasizes proactive problem solving, strong communication, and the ability to work independently in a remote setting while maintaining system integrity and minimizing downtime.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Helpdesk Analyst or in a similar IT support role, preferably in a remote setting.
• Strong knowledge of operating systems (Windows, macOS), hardware, and common software applications.
• Familiarity with network protocols, VPNs, and basic cybersecurity principles.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to diagnose complex technical issues remotely.
• Effective communication skills for explaining technical concepts to non-technical users.

Responsibilities

• Provide remote technical assistance to end-users via phone, email, and remote desktop tools.
• Install, configure, and troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues.
• Manage user accounts, permissions, and access rights within the IT infrastructure.
• Document technical solutions, procedures, and troubleshooting guides for the knowledge base.
• Monitor system performance and proactively address potential IT issues to prevent downtime.
