Job summary

Advocate Health in Charlotte, NC is seeking an IT Program Manager for IT Governance to own the governance lifecycle, set standards for Leadership Council operations, and guide Council Coordinators while ensuring technology requests progress with clear ownership and complete information.

The Program Manager serves as the primary Council Coordinator for the IT Executive Steering Committee, managing intake readiness, agendas, decision materials, and governance communications to promote awareness

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in information technology or related field.
• Typically requires 7 years in project management, including large complex projects (above $1M).
• Experience in IT governance, enterprise portfolios, and governance processes.

Responsibilities

• Manages delivery of complex IT projects ensuring on-time, on-budget delivery with required functionality.
• Engages with senior IT and business leaders and the steering committee to report progress and risk.
• Contributes to defining IT project management methodologies for varied project sizes and approaches.
• Establishes targets, benchmarks, and performance measures for project delivery and continuous improvement.
• Mentors other PMs and leads a 10–40 person project team in a matrix environment.
