Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking an IT Program Manager for IT Governance to oversee governance lifecycle, standardize Leadership Council operations, and guide Council Coordinators. You will promote IT Governance adoption through targeted communication and education across IT.

The role focuses on intake readiness, agendas, decision materials, action tracking, and governance communications, ensuring governance outcomes are demonstrated and sustained.

Responsibilities

• Manages delivery of the largest and most complex strategic IT projects on time and on budget with required functionality.
• Engages with senior IT and business leaders and steering committee to provide progress reports, risk analysis, and corrective actions.
• Contributes to defining Advocate project management methodology across project sizes and approaches.
• Establishes targets, benchmarks and performance measures for IT delivery and maintains project baselines.
• Mentors other project managers and leads 10–40 staff in a matrix environment.
• Ensures well-defined business requirements and budgets; alerts when tolerances are exceeded.
• Provides high-level and detailed estimates and refines them as needed for design phases.
• Tracks post-implementation benefits and captures lessons learned for improvement.
