Job summary

Advocate Health seeks an IT Program Manager to own enterprise IT governance, guide standard setting for council operations, and oversee governance lifecycles. You’ll coordinate council materials, drive adoption of governance practices, and ensure requests move through governance with clear ownership and solid information.

The role reports as the primary Council Coordinator for the IT Executive Steering Committee, managing intake readiness, agendas, and updates, while mentoring staff and aligning

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in information technology or related field.
• 7 years in project management, with at least five large projects above $1M.
• Experience leading IT governance initiatives and cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Manage delivery of large, complex IT projects on time and within budget.
• Engage senior IT and business leaders with progress reports and risk analysis.
• Develop and promote an enterprise IT governance framework and standards.
• Serve as primary Council Coordinator for the IT Executive Steering Committee.
• Mentor other project managers and manage project teams in a matrix setup.
