Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking an IT Program Manager within the IT Governance team to oversee governance lifecycle, standardize Leadership Council operations, and guide Council Coordinators. The role drives governance with clear ownership, information, and decision support.

It reports as the PMO lead for intake readiness and governance communications. The position emphasizes adoption of IT governance across IT, delivers training, and ensures outcomes are demonstrated through governance metrics while

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in information technology or related field.
• Typically requires 7 years in project management, with at least five of these for large complex projects (above $1M).
• Experience with governance frameworks and IT strategy.

Responsibilities

• Manages the delivery of the largest and most complex strategic IT projects to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery with required functionality.
• Engages with senior IT and business leaders to provide progress reports, risks and corrective actions.
• Contributes to definition of Advocate project management methodology for various project sizes and approaches.
• Establishes targets, benchmarks and performance measures for IT delivery and maintains baselines.
• Mentors other project managers and leads a 10–40 person team in a matrix environment.
• Ensures business requirements stay within scope and budget, raising alerts when tolerances are exceeded.
