Job summary

Lifepoint Health is seeking a remote Inpatient Coding Specialist for IRF to support our Rehabilitation Services IRF Coding Team. You will code IRF records remotely using current ICD versions and maintain a strict coding schedule set by leadership.

Requirements include RHIT/RHIA or AHIMA/CPC/CIC credentials and at least two years of inpatient rehab coding experience (UB04 and IRF PAI). A strong commitment to privacy, ethics, and collaboration with clinical teams is essential.

Qualifications

• RHIT, RHIA or AHIMA/CPC/CIC certification required.
• Minimum two years' experience in inpatient rehabilitation hospital coding (UB04 and IRF PAI).

Responsibilities

• Code IRF records remotely using current ICD coding version within supervisor timelines.
• Maintain coding schedule as assigned by Area Director.
• Collaborate with PPS Coordinator/Outcomes Manager for Impairment Code assignments.
