Job summary

UnitedHealth Group seeks a professional coder to assign CPT/ICD-10 codes for outpatient Acute Interventional Radiology and to ensure compliance with coding guidelines. This remote role requires AHIMA/AAPC credentials and 2+ years in IR coding.

You will work with EMR systems, Excel, and encoder platforms to maintain high-quality documentation, meet productivity targets, and support providers with chart reviews and queries.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of Outpatient Facility Interventional Radiology coding experience.
• 2+ years of ICD-10 experience.
• AHIMA and/or AAPC credentialing (CCA, CCS, RHIA, RHIT, CPC-H/COC, CIC, CCS-P, CPC, CPC-A) to be maintained annually.

Responsibilities

• Identify assignment of CPT and ICD-10 Codes for outpatient Acute Interventional Radiology services per official guidelines.
• Analyze/correct CCI Edits and Medical Necessity Edits.
• Understand APC codes and abstract data during chart review.
• Maintain coding quality and productivity per QM Manager and Director.
