Job summary

Husch Blackwell LLP is seeking an IP Paralegal Assistant to support patent and trademark matters in a busy IP practice. This role may be filled remotely via The Link or in any firm location, offering long-term growth in a collaborative environment.

The ideal candidate has one year of patent experience, excellent organizational and communication skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office. You will help manage docketing, filings, and portfolio maintenance while aiming for 1000 billable hours

Qualifications

• One year of patent experience preferred.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word and Excel.
• Experience with electronic court filings.
• Ability to prioritize workflow and manage time.

Responsibilities

• Assist attorneys and paralegals with Patent and Trademark matters, including docketing, electronic filing, portfolio management, and maintenance of patent applications.
• Prepare status summary reports for attorneys and clients.
• Coordinate international filings with foreign law offices and other entities.
• Maintain docket system of due dates for actions and payments of patent annuities in foreign countries.
• Perform document management duties and data entry.
• Learn and implement AI tools as needed.
• Meet annual targeted billable hours of 1000.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
