Husch Blackwell LLP is seeking an IP Paralegal Assistant to support attorneys in a busy IP practice. The role may be filled remotely or in any of our locations, offering long-term career growth within the IP group.

Responsibilities include docketing, filing, portfolio management, and maintaining familiarity with patent/trademark concepts. The ideal candidate has patent experience, strong organizational and communication skills, and the ability to work independently in a remote environment while

Qualifications

• One year of patent experience preferred.
• Excellent organizational and written/oral communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and court filings.
• Ability to prioritize workflow and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Assist attorneys with patent and trademark matters, including docketing, filing, and portfolio management.
• Maintain docket system of due dates and respond to actions and renewals.
• Perform document management tasks such as photocopying, filing, scanning, and courier delivery.
• Enter matter information into firm software.
• Learn and implement AI tools for IP practice.
• Meet annual billable hours target of 1000.
