Job summary

Husch Blackwell LLP is seeking an IP Paralegal Assistant to support attorneys in a busy IP practice. The role involves docketing, electronic filing, portfolio management, and maintenance of patent and trademark applications.

The position may be filled remotely via The Link or at any firm location. Ideal candidates will have at least one year of patent experience, excellent organization, and strong written and verbal communication skills.

Qualifications

• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize workflow and manage time.
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite including Outlook, Word and Excel.
• Experience with electronic court filings.

Responsibilities

• Assist attorneys and paralegals with Patent and Trademark matters.
• Prepare, docket, file electronically, and manage patent portfolios.
• Register and maintain patent applications and renewals.
• Coordinate international filings with foreign offices.
• Maintain docket systems for deadlines and related tasks.
• Perform data entry and general document management.
• Learn and implement new AI tools for IP practice.
• Meet annual billable hour targets (1000 hours).
• Other duties as assigned.
