Husch Blackwell LLP, a full-service litigation and business law firm, seeks an IP Paralegal Assistant to support patent and trademark matters remotely or at one of our offices. The role includes docketing, document management, electronic filings, and familiarity with Patent and Trademark concepts.

Qualifications

• One year of patent experience preferred.
• Excellent organizational and written/oral communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Outlook, Word and Excel.
• Experience with electronic court filings.
• Ability to prioritize workflow and manage time.

Responsibilities

• Assist attorneys and paralegals with patent and trademark matters, including preparation and docketing.
• Maintain docket system with due dates for actions, renewals, and maintenance fees.
• Perform document management tasks: photocopying, filing, scanning, courier services.
• Enter matter information into applicable software and maintain portfolio records.
• Coordinate international filings with foreign offices and entities.
• Learn and implement new AI tools related to IP practice.
• Meet annual targeted billable hours of 1000 and perform other duties as assigned.
