Job summary

Blue Signal Search seeks an IoT Field Applications Engineer to serve as the technical bridge between customers, engineering, and product teams. The role offers a fully remote environment with nationwide flexibility, focusing on advanced IoT connectivity solutions and enterprise deployments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related technical discipline.
• Five or more years of experience in a customer facing engineering/field applications/solutions engineering or technical consulting role.
• Experience supporting enterprise customers through complex technical implementations.
• Strong understanding of IoT technologies, embedded systems, cellular communications, or connected devices.
• Knowledge of IP networking, routing concepts, and enterprise software environments.
• Excellent troubleshooting and analytical problem-solving abilities.
• Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills with the ability to communicate technical concepts to both technical and nontechnical audiences.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities while working independently in a remote environment.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary technical advisor for customers implementing advanced IoT connectivity solutions.
• Design and recommend scalable technical architectures that align with customer business objectives.
• Troubleshoot complex hardware, software, networking, and connectivity issues across multiple environments.
• Validate new products, firmware, and applications to ensure reliability, functionality, and performance.
• Collaborate closely with engineering teams to provide technical feedback that enhances future product development.
• Assist with deployment planning, system configuration, software installation, and solution integration for enterprise customers.
• Lead technical workshops, solution demonstrations, and architecture discussions with customers and internal stakeholders.
• Develop technical documentation, implementation guides, and best practices that support successful customer deployments.
• Deliver technical training that enables customers and partners to maximize the value of deployed solutions.
• Support escalated technical issues through root cause analysis and timely resolution.
• Stay informed on emerging IoT technologies, cellular networking advancements, certification requirements, and industry trends.
• Contribute technical expertise that supports continuous improvement of products, services, and customer experience.
