Job summary

Blue Signal Search client seeks an experienced IoT Field Applications Engineer to bridge customers, engineering, and product teams. You will design scalable IoT architectures, troubleshoot multi-environment issues, and validate new devices and firmware to ensure performance.

You will collaborate with engineering and product leadership, lead workshops, and develop implementation guides while supporting enterprise deployments remotely across the nation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related technical field.
• 5+ years in a customer-facing engineering, field applications, solutions engineering, or technical consulting role.
• Experience supporting enterprise customers through complex technical implementations.
• Strong understanding of IoT technologies, embedded systems, cellular communications, or connected devices.
• Knowledge of IP networking and enterprise software environments.
• Excellent troubleshooting and analytical problem-solving abilities.
• Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities while working independently in a remote environment.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary technical advisor for customers deploying IoT connectivity solutions.
• Design and recommend scalable architectures aligned with customer objectives.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, networking, and connectivity issues across environments.
• Validate new products, firmware, and applications for reliability and performance.
• Collaborate with engineering to provide feedback for product development.
• Assist with deployment planning, system configuration, and solution integration.
• Lead technical workshops, solution demos, and architecture discussions.
• Develop documentation, implementation guides, and best practices.
• Deliver technical training to customers and partners.
• Support escalated issues through root cause analysis and timely resolution.
• Stay informed on IoT technologies, cellular networking, certification requirements, and trends.
• Contribute expertise to continuous improvement of products and services.
