Job summary

Nationwide is seeking an Internal Retirement Specialist to provide retirement plan expertise to participants and act as a trusted consultant for education and advice based on individual needs.

Reporting to the Manager, you will collaborate with field Retirement Specialists and Program Directors across assigned territory to drive plan selections, enhancements and retention while adhering to regulatory requirements. A strong emphasis on relationships and process-driven advisory is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years in a relationship/sales driven role.
• Expe rience in a sales call center and financial services preferred.
• Strong knowledge of insurance and financial products.

Responsibilities

• Provides retirement plan education and guidance to participants.
• Initiates calls to discuss deferrals and retirement goals.
• Performs account reviews and advises on asset allocation.
• Calculates retirement projections and counsels on distributions.
• Advises field Retirement Specialists and Directors to support sales goals.
• Keeps informed on industry trends and regulatory changes.
