Job summary

Nationwide Financial is seeking an Internal Retirement Specialist to provide retirement plan expertise and education to participants. You’ll act as a consultant, offering guidance based on individual needs and plan specifics. Expect collaboration with field teams to support sales goals.

Role requires FINRA Series 6, 63, 65 licenses (or 7 & 66), Life/Health license, and two years in relationship/sales roles. Hybrid schedule alternates in-office and work-from-home weeks in Kentucky.

Responsibilities

• Receives inbound calls from participants and provides education and guidance regarding their retirement plan.
• Initiates calls to targeted participants to discuss contribution levels and deferrals.
• Completes account reviews to analyze risk and advise on asset allocation.
• Calculates retirement projections and provides counseling on results.
• Educates participants on distributions, transfers or consolidation needs.
• Builds relationships with field Retirement Specialists and Program Directors.
• Provides retirement plan expertise to field teams and advisors within territory.
• Applies industry trends and market movements to advise teams.
