Job summary

Energy Project Solutions (EPS) seeks an Interconnection & Transmission Regulatory Manager to lead interconnection strategy and regulatory engagement for utility-scale solar and BESS projects in Puerto Rico. You will coordinate with utilities, regulators, and engineering teams while guiding project moves in a bilingual environment.

The role requires hands-on interconnection experience, strong stakeholder management, and fluency in Spanish and English, with travel to Puerto Rico as needed.

Qualifications

• Lead interconnection strategy for a portfolio of utility-scale solar and BESS projects.
• Manage utility relationships with LUMA Energy, PREPA, and other stakeholders.
• Review interconnection studies for technical accuracy and cost reasonableness.
• Coordinate transmission planning, network upgrades, and queue positions.
• Negotiate and administer interconnection agreements with legal support.
• Monitor PREB proceedings, tariff filings, and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with utilities, EPCs, legal, and project development teams.
• Fluent in Spanish and English; lead technical discussions with diverse stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead interconnection strategy for a portfolio of utility-scale solar and BESS projects, from initial applications to commissioning.
• Serve as primary contact with utilities; coordinate technical discussions and issue resolution.
• Review scoping, interconnection feasibility, and facilities studies for technical and cost reasons.
• Coordinate transmission planning and evaluate upgrade costs and queue positions.
• Negotiate and administer interconnection agreements with legal counsel support.
• Monitor PREB proceedings and tariff filings; coordinate with regulatory advisors.
• Work with utilities, EPCs, engineering consultants to address protection and metering requirements.
• Provide early interconnection assessments to support site selection and investment decisions.
