Job summary

Energy Project Solutions (EPS) is seeking an Interconnection & Transmission Regulatory Manager to lead interconnection strategy and regulatory engagement for utility-scale solar and BESS projects in Puerto Rico. The role collaborates with utilities, regulators, and engineering teams while overseeing transmission planning and cost considerations.

Qualifications

• Fluent in Spanish and English for cross‑functional engagement.
• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or a related field is required.
• Experience in interconnection, transmission planning, and regulatory affairs is needed.
• Strong understanding of power systems fundamentals and grid interconnection processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead interconnection strategy across a portfolio of solar and BESS projects.
• Manage utility relationships with LUMA Energy, PREPA, and other stakeholders.
• Review interconnection studies for technical accuracy and cost reasonableness.
• Coordinate transmission planning, network upgrades, and interconnection costs.
• Negotiate and administer interconnection agreements with support from legal counsel.
• Monitor PREB proceedings, tariff filings, and regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate requirements across protection, metering, SCADA, and related systems.
• Support project development with interconnection cost estimates and risk analysis.
• Report interconnection status and risks to leadership.
