Job summary

AAA The Auto Club Group is seeking an Associate Attorney to handle auto insurance defense matters. The role supports a Practice Leader and conducts examinations under oath, discovery, and trial preparation.

Primary remote position with periodic office visits roughly every six weeks and in‑person court appearances when required. The ideal candidate has a JD, active bar membership, and at least two years of litigation experience, with strong research and deposition skills.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor required and bar admission in applicable state.
• 2+ years of litigation experience as a licensed attorney.
• Knowledge of civil procedure, evidence rules and discovery practices.
• Mediation and arbitration familiarity preferred.
• Strong legal research and writing skills.

Responsibilities

• Review and analyze files, policies, and medical/technical data.
• Consult with experts and prepare responses to civil complaints and motions.
• Determine feasibility of third-party defendants in suits.
• Manage subpoenas, service of process, and discovery.
• Prepare for trial, including opening/closing arguments and witness examinations.
• Coordinate with senior attorneys and Appeals Committee on complex judgments.
