Job summary

The Auto Club Group in Michigan is seeking an Associate Attorney to join our litigation team. This role is primarily remote, reporting to an office roughly once every six weeks, with occasional in-person court appearances.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor Degree or graduate of accredited law school.
• Minimum two years of litigation experience as a licensed attorney.
• Knowledge of Civil law, Michigan No Fault, discovery, mediation, and insurance law.
• Ability to communicate effectively with other attorneys, court officers, the public.
• Proficiency with office software and litigation management systems.

Responsibilities

• Handle litigation and cases of intermediate exposure.
• Prepare responses to civil complaints and motions.
• Conduct discovery depositions and formulate interrogatories.
• Prepare case for trial and develop trial strategy.
• Participate in jury selection and deliver closing arguments.
• Negotiate pre-trial settlements within authority.
• Consult with senior attorneys on complex cases when necessary.
