MEDHOST, a division of Harris, seeks an Account Follow-up Representative II to review and resolve outstanding insurance balances on hospital patient accounts. This remote role supports multiple hospital systems and requires research, payor communication, and timely resolution of claims.

Qualifications

• Understanding revenue cycle processes and insurance reimbursements.
• Ability to analyze outstanding accounts and communicate with payors.
• Familiarity with HIPAA privacy and security requirements.
• Proficiency with basic arithmetic and Microsoft Office tools.

Responsibilities

• Timely follow-up on hospital patient accounts for insurance payments.
• Rebill to insurance and research balance details to resolve claims.
• Work 40-50 accounts per day for assigned payors.
• Collaborate with third-party payors to obtain necessary information.
• Identify trends in denials and assist with process improvements.
• Provide education and training to new hires as needed.
