Job summary

MEDHOST, a division of Harris, seeks an Account Follow-up Representative II to review and resolve outstanding insurance balances on hospital patient accounts. Remote role, US-wide, paying $18-$26/hr. The role requires researching claims, collaborating with payors, and following HIPAA guidelines.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years in revenue cycle, strong communication, and proficiency in MS Office. Expect to handle 40–50 accounts daily and support 90-day resolutions with teams across departments.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of revenue cycle processes impacting insurance reimbursements.
• Proficiency with telephone systems for outbound/inbound calls.
• Access protected health information (PHI) per guidelines.
• Sufficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• 3+ years' experience in related field.
• Must be detail oriented, organized and able to multi-task.

Responsibilities

• Timely follow-up on hospital patient accounts outstanding for insurance payment.
• Work 40-50 accounts per workday for assigned payor(s).
• Gather demographic, clinical information and insurance data for claims.
• Analyze denial/variance trends and participate in resolution.
• Assist leadership in managing AR and 90-day claim resolutions.
• Deliver education and training for new hires as needed.
