Job summary

MEDHOST, a division of Harris, is seeking an Account Follow-up Representative II to review and resolve outstanding insurance balances on hospital patient accounts. The role requires learning multiple hospital systems, researching complex claims, and coordinating with third-party payors to secure payment.

This remote position welcomes candidates anywhere in the US. You will manage 40–50 accounts per day, handle denials, gather information, and help reduce days in A/R while maintaining HIPAA

Qualifications

• Knowledge of revenue cycle processes affecting insurance reimbursements.
• Proficiency with telephone systems for outbound/inbound calls.
• Ability to access PHI per guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Timely follow-up on outstanding hospital patient accounts for insurance payment.
• Work 40-50 accounts per workday for assigned payor(s).
• Investigate denials and prepare accounts for reconsiderations and appeals.
• Collaborate with third party payors and internal teams to resolve balances.
• Ensure accuracy and update systems with patient information.
• Support training for new hires and junior staff.
