Insurance Office of America is seeking an Account Manager for Commercial Lines, supporting IOA - Charleston from a remote/eastern-central time zone basis. The role focuses on managing a book of business, client service, renewals, and coordination of administrative tasks to ensure seamless service and retention.

The ideal candidate holds an active P&C license and preferably a CIC designation, with 3+ years in account management or 5+ years in insurance.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of account management experience or 5+ years in the insurance industry.
• Thorough knowledge of insurance brokerage and client needs.
• Active licensing; CIC or equivalent designation preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage an assigned book of business, ensuring account retention and supporting new business.
• Coordinate day-to-day administrative and customer service activities, resolving complex issues.
• Maintain technical competence and industry expertise.
• Direct daily activities of the account management team.
• Handle customer service requests, policy administration, billing, claims, and coverage analysis.
• Manage policy expirations and renewals; conduct client research and present proposals.
• Monitor reports; collect outstanding balances and address delinquent accounts.
• Maintain agency systems and carrier/vendor platforms; ensure data accuracy.
• Communicate with the team on workload status and issues; uphold service excellence.
• Stay updated on company policies; seek continuous improvement.
• Demonstrate IOA values with integrity and leadership.
