Job summary

Insurance Office of America is seeking an Account Manager for Commercial Lines. This remote role supports the IOA - Charleston operation, handling a diverse book of business with focus on retention, renewals, and service excellence.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in account management or 5+ years in insurance, with an active P&C license. Superior analytical, communications, and organizational skills are expected; MS Office proficiency is essential.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of account management experience or 5+ years in the insurance industry
• Active P&C license required; CIC or equivalent designation preferred
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills
• Exceptional customer service, communication, multitasking and organizational skills
• Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
• High School Diploma or equivalent

Responsibilities

• Manage an assigned book of business to ensure retention and support new business
• Coordinate day-to-day administrative and customer service activities
• Handle policy administration, billing, claims and coverage analysis
• Monitor policy expirations and renewals; conduct client submissions and negotiate coverages
• Oversee accounts receivable, monitor delinquent balances and collect outstanding amounts
• Maintain agency management systems and carrier/vendor platforms with accurate data
• Communicate workload status and issues to the account team; drive service excellence
• Stay updated on company policies and pursue continuous improvement
• Champion IOA values with integrity and leadership
