Job summary

Insurance Office of America (IOA) is seeking an Account Manager for our Commercial Lines team. Remote work is available for candidates in Eastern or Central Time Zones, with on-site work possible for Charleston-area coverage.

You will manage a book of business, ensure retention, and coordinate day-to-day service. Ideal candidate has 3+ years in account management within insurance, active P&C license (CIC preferred), strong analytical and communication skills, and MS Office proficiency.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of account management experience or 5+ years in the insurance industry.
• Active P&C license is required; CIC or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain technical competence and industry expertise.
• Direct daily activities of the account management team.
• Handle customer service requests, policy administration, billing, claims, and coverage analysis.
• Manage policy expirations and renewals.
• Conduct client research, prepare submissions, negotiate coverages, and present proposals.
• Monitor delinquent accounts and collect outstanding balances.
• Maintain agency management systems and carrier/vendor platforms.
• Communicate workload status and issues to the account team.
• Deliver excellent service and anticipate client needs.
• Stay updated on company policies and procedures.
• Seek best practices to improve performance.
• Demonstrate integrity and leadership.
