You will manage a book of business, ensure retention, handle policy administration, billing, claims, and renewals with a focus on service excellence. The ideal candidate has 3+ years in account management or 5+ years in insurance, active licensing, and strong MS Office skills.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of account management experience, or 5+ years in the insurance industry.
• Thorough knowledge of insurance brokerage and client needs.
• Active licensing; CIC or equivalent preferred.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Exceptional customer service, communication, multitasking, and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
• High School Diploma (or equivalent).

Responsibilities

• Maintain technical competence and industry expertise.
• Direct daily activities of the account management team.
• Handle customer service requests, policy administration, billing, claims, and coverage analysis.
• Manage policy expirations and renewals.
• Conduct client research, prepare submissions, negotiate coverages, and present proposals.
• Monitor reports and collect outstanding balances for delinquent accounts.
• Maintain agency management systems and carrier/vendor platforms.
• Monitor and maintain activity to ensure timely completion.
• Maintain transparent communication with the account team regarding workload and issues.
• Deliver excellent service and anticipate client needs.
• Stay updated on company policies and procedures.
• Seek and adopt best practices to improve performance.
• Demonstrate integrity and leadership as IOA values champion.
