Job summary

AbsenceSoft is seeking an Instructional Designer to build training content powering AbsenceSoft University—courses, learning paths, and assessments customers rely on to master our platform.

You'll translate regulatory updates into clear, engaging content, develop deep product expertise, and partner with Product, Compliance, and Customer Success to accelerate onboarding and adoption in a remote-first environment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of instructional design or curriculum development, preferably in a B2B SaaS environment.
• Strong writing skills and ability to translate technical material into clear content.
• Experience with LMS platforms and authoring tools such as Articulate 360, Camtasia, Captivate.
• Knowledge of FMLA, ADA, or state leave laws; ability to work with a compliance team.
• Self-directed, curious learner who can work independently and with a team.

Responsibilities

• Design and build courses, learning paths, and assessments that reflect our product and how customers actually use it.
• Build deep expertise in the AbsenceSoft platform and update training content for upcoming releases.
• Collaborate with product and compliance teams to translate regulatory updates into accurate content.
• Use course data to identify what works and refresh content as needed.
• Uphold security and compliance controls within the training scope.
• Support faster customer onboarding and stronger product adoption.
