Job summary

ABB Inc. is seeking an Inside Sales Support professional for a remote US-based role. You will manage daily customer activities including order entry, tracking and order management with local business units and other ABB groups, and expand support to agent accounts.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s in engineering or business and 5+ years in technical customer support within industrial/utility fields, with preference for knowledge of power transmission & distribution and B2B support.

Qualifications

Minimum 5 years of technical customer support experience in Industrial/Utility sectors or equivalent.
Bachelor's Degree in engineering, business or related field preferred.
General knowledge of power transmission & distribution products/systems preferred.
Experience with B2B customer support and using computer databases (Empower preferred).

Responsibilities

Execute daily customer activities including order entry, tracking and order management with local ABB units and other ABB groups.
Coordinate with local units to track orders and ensure on-time delivery.
Coordinate input from units to ensure bid proposals meet customer requirements.
Process information on multiple projects and adapt to shifting priorities.
Attend meetings to discuss contract requirements and risks.
Investigate technical problems and establish corrective actions to avoid recurrences.
Duties may require domestic travel to customer locations or ABB sites.
Initiate change orders and expedite collection of overdue invoices.
