Job summary

Signature Performance is seeking an experienced Inpatient Medical Coder for a remote role. You will assign ICD-10-CM diagnoses and ICD-10-PCS procedures for complex inpatient discharges, using 3M 360 CAC and CDI collaboration to ensure accurate coding and reimbursement.

You must have at least three years in Academic Medical Center inpatient coding, current CCS/CIC/RHIA or RHIT certifications, and strong computer/communication skills to manage multiple projects and deadlines.

Qualifications

• Three years' inpatient coding experience required.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes technical coding expertise to assign ICD-10-CM/PCS codes for complex inpatient cases.
• Reviews provider notes and CDI input to assign POA values and ensure accurate documentation.
• Collaborates with CDI on discharge diagnoses and MS/ APR DRG determinations.
• Writes appeal letters in response to payor DRG downgrades and resolves validation messages.
