You will code inpatient and outpatient accounts using ICD-10-CM/PCS, CPT, HCPCS, and DRG concepts, maintain accuracy, and participate in assessments and continuous education as part of a collaborative team.

Qualifications

• 5+ years IP PCS coding experience required.
• CCS certification required.
• Full-time, weekdays schedule.

Responsibilities

• Examine complete medical records to determine principal and secondary diagnoses and procedures.
• Accurately sequence diagnoses and procedures with high accuracy.
• Aim for optimal DRG assignments with computer assistance.
• Maintain steady productivity and quality levels.
• Request additional information when needed for accurate coding.
• Stay current with coding guidelines and share updates with team.
• Complete assignments as directed by management.
• Pursue continuing education opportunities.
• Work as part of a team to meet client goals.
• Perform related duties or special projects as assigned.
