Responsibilities

• Examine medical records to determine principal and secondary diagnoses and procedures.
• Accurately sequence diagnoses and procedures with high accuracy.
• Strive for optimal DRG assignments with system assistance.
• Maintain steady productivity and coding quality.
• Request additional information when needed for accurate code/DRG.
• Keep current with coding guidelines and share updates with staff.
