Job summary

Dover is seeking a Certified Inpatient Medical Coder to support AI training initiatives. This remote contract role focuses on accurate ICD-10-CM/PCS coding of inpatient records and rigorous adherence to official guidelines.

The ideal candidate holds CIC or CPC credentials, has inpatient coding experience, and can commit at least 10 hours per week from a US-based location. Remote work is supported across the United States.

Qualifications

• Inpatient coding experience and certification awareness.
• Familiarity with ICD-10-CM/PCS guidelines and coding clinics.

Responsibilities

• Review and analyze inpatient records to ensure accurate ICD-10-CM/PCS coding.
• Review clinical documentation for accuracy, completeness, and coding integrity.
• Identify principal and secondary diagnoses, sequence codes per guidelines, and POA indicators.
• Validate MS-DRG assignment, including CC/MCC and HAC flags.
• Evaluate AI-generated notes and summaries against standards.
• Code AI-generated information using ICD-10-CM/PCS.
• Identify and resolve discrepancies to ensure data integrity.
• Provide clear written feedback on coding errors to improve model performance.
