Weekday AI is seeking experienced Medical Coders with CCS or CIC certification for a remote US contractor role. You will review inpatient records, assign ICD-10-CM/PCS codes, validate MS-DRG classifications, and ensure POA indicators meet UHDDS and coding guidelines.

The position emphasizes accuracy, attention to detail, and collaboration with stakeholders to support AI model development and validation of coding decisions.

Formación

• Active CCS or CIC certification and inpatient coding expertise.
• Strong knowledge of ICD-10-CM/PCS coding systems and MS-DRG methodology.
• Experience in diagnosis sequencing, POA indicators, UHDDS definitions, and coding guidelines.
• Ability to interpret complex clinical documentation and translate into accurate codes.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and deliver high-quality annotations.

Responsabilidades

• Inpatient medical record review to identify diagnoses and procedures.
• Assign accurate ICD-10-CM and ICD-10-PCS codes per guidelines.
• Determine principal vs. secondary diagnoses and correct sequencing.
• Review MS-DRG assignments and identify CCs/MCCs.
• Assign and validate POA indicators per guidelines.
• Apply UHDDS definitions and coding conventions for accuracy.
• Identify HACs and safety indicators related to coding.
• Annotate and validate clinical data for AI training and evaluation.
• Analyze complex cases and provide evidence-based coding recommendations.
• Deliver structured quality feedback to improve annotation work.
• Collaborate with project stakeholders to clarify requirements and ensure data integrity.
