Job summary

24-MAG LLC offers a fully remote, US-based freelance role for experienced Certified Inpatient Coders. You will review inpatient records, apply ICD-10-CM/PCS guidelines, assign MS-DRGs, assess POA indicators, and provide detailed feedback to AI systems. The engagement is 10 hours per week with flexible scheduling.

Ideal candidates hold CIC/CCS credentials and have strong clinical documentation interpretation skills. Remote work arrangement nationwide within the United States is supported.

Qualifications

• Active CIC, CCS, or AHIMA/AAPC credential.
• Substantial inpatient coding experience.
• Strong ICD-10-CM/PCS expertise.
• Experience with MS-DRG assignment and POA indicators.
• Ability to provide detailed, constructive feedback on coding.

Responsibilities

• Review inpatient medical records for accurate coding.
• Apply ICD-10-CM/PCS guidelines.
• Identify principal/secondary diagnoses and POA indicators.
• Validate MS-DRG assignments and CC/MCC influence.
• Provide AI training feedback and quality assessments.
• Collaborate remotely and commit to 10+ hours per week.
