Datavant is a leading healthcare data collaboration platform enabling secure, accessible data to drive impactful insights. We seek an Inpatient Auditing Specialist to perform audits, educate coders, and ensure high quality documentation from a remote workspace.

The role emphasizes coding accuracy, regulatory awareness, and customer-focused service, with PRN support and potential for part-time hours. This position offers a flexible schedule and requires CSI knowledge and clinical coding

Qualifications

• 5+ years of facility inpatient coding experience and/or auditing.
• CCS (required); RHIA or RHIT preferred.
• Maintain 95% DRG accuracy rate.
• Experience with Epic, Cerner, and other prevalent EMRs.

Responsibilities

• Performs inpatient facility coding audits according to scope of work for onboarding, focused reviews or SLAs.
• Provides rich and concise rationale explaining changes with specific references to documentation.
• Keeps abreast of regulatory changes.
• Organizes and prioritizes multiple cases concurrently to ensure workflow and turnaround time.
• Provides coder education via the auditing process.
• Adhere to AHIMA’s code of ethics.
