Datavant is seeking an Inpatient Auditing Specialist to address coding quality, compliance, and education. This fully remote role offers a flexible schedule and potential PRN support for IA IP auditing. Spinal experience and 20 hours/week are a plus.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of inpatient facility coding experience and/or auditing.
• CCS certification required; RHIA or RHIT preferred.
• Maintain 95% DRG accuracy.
• Experience with Epic, Cerner, and other EMRs.

Responsibilities

• Perform inpatient facility coding audits per scope using DRG logic.
• Provide clear rationale with references and documentation locations.
• Stay current with regulatory changes.
• Manage multiple cases to optimize workflow.
• Educate coders through the auditing process.
• Adhere to AHIMA's code of ethics.
