Job summary

Datavant is seeking an Inpatient Auditing Specialist to perform inpatient facility coding audits, provide rationale, and support coder education. This fully remote role requires CCS certification and 5+ years of experience, with familiarity in Epic and Cerner EMRs.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of facility inpatient coding experience and/or auditing.
• CCS (required), RHIA or RHIT preferred.
• Maintain 95% DRG accuracy rate.
• Experience with Epic, Cerner and other EMRs.

Responsibilities

• Performs inpatient facility coding audits according to scope of work using DRG methods.
• Provides rationale with references and documentation locations.
• Keeps up with regulatory changes and supports education of coders.
• Manages multiple cases concurrently to optimize workflow.
• Demonstrates professional, ethical conduct and teamwork.
