Job summary

Datavant is seeking experienced inpatient coders to join our remote team. The role emphasizes high accuracy in ICD-10-CM/ICD-10-PCS coding, chart abstraction, and mentoring junior coders from a home workspace.

Candidates should have 3+ years inpatient coding experience and preferred CCS certification. We offer a fully remote, flexible schedule with comprehensive benefits, ongoing training, and a supportive team environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of inpatient coding facility experience.
• CCS, RHIT, or RHIA preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills required.

Responsibilities

• Assign ICD-10-CM and ICD-10-PCS codes from patient records.
• Sequence and abstract codes with precision and proper documentation.
• Oversee and audit Level 1 & 2 Coders when applicable.
• Champion documentation improvement opportunities and coding issues with stakeholders.
• Maintain 95% coding accuracy and 95% MS-DRG accuracy.
• Maintain site-specific productivity benchmarks and professional communication.
